The Organic Bloom frames – {Boise, ID Portrait Photographer}

I know you’ve heard me drool over talk about The Organic Bloom and their incredible assortment of custom boutique frames, but I seriously can’t get enough of them. I want them ALL. OVER. MY HOUSE. :) I have been enjoying browsing some of the new images on their website as well as photos contributed by other photographers onto the Organic Bloom Facebook page and thought I would share some of them with you. :) If you want more information on these frames, including pricing, click HERE. Remember, you do not have to be a previous client of mine to order these frames, but you do have to order them through a professional photographer, so if you’re interested in ordering, shoot me a message at ali@alismithphotography.com

It just amazes me how people come up with so many great ways to decorate their homes with these frames! Isn’t that playroom to die for?? I’ve also seen people turn them into mirrors and chalk boards, too…the possibilities really are incredible.

Best of 2011 – Nampa ID Portrait Photography

It is currently midnight on the last day of the year. I can’t help but reflect on all of the ups and downs and the crazy roller coaster ride that was 2011. It was a year of craziness for me and I can’t wait to see what 2012 has in store for me and for Ali Smith Photography. Today completes my first official year in business and I can’t believe how far I’ve come.  I want to say a big thank you to all of the wonderful clients I got to work with this year, including clients returning to me for a second and third time. Your loyalty means the absolute world to me. To know that your experience and images were so well received that you wanted to come back again and again. I am also so thankful for all of the amazing new friends I’ve made in this industry. I’ve gotten to know, meet, and even shoot with some of the photographers I admire so much. It has truly been such an awesome experience. I just simply cannot wait for more fun and more growth in the coming year. I can’t wait to further grow friendships and to meet even more new faces. I hope you are feeling excited for the coming year and I wish only great things for you all. Happy New Year!

As a “farewell” to 2011 and a “hello” to 2012, I thought it would be fun to do a “Best of 2011″ post. Here I’ll share some of my favorites from the past year. I TRIED to narrow it down, but I just loved too many, so if you’re eyes hurt by the end of all of these photos, I apologize in advance. :) I got to do all types of sessions…from newborns to children to families, couples to seniors, boudoir to shoot-outs with other photographers. Talk about fun!

Nicole - Hey Ali,

LOVE ALL THESE!
Can I ask what type of blog boards/ blog software you used to create this collage??? I need a good one. Have SOME templates but they are such a pain to use, I need to find some better ones. THANK YOU!!!

January 17, 2012 - 7:27 AM

Ali Smith - Thanks, Nicole! I use the Moirai Compositor for these layouts. I have to say that I absolutely LOVE this software! It has made things SOOOO easy! There ARE a couple of things I would change if I had created it, but it still does a wonderful job. I would definitely look into it. :)

Alex & Kelsey – {Nampa Boise ID Couples Engagement Photography}

This couple decided they didn’t want to try to brave the cold outdoors and so we decided to stay cozy by the fire and then cook up some cheesecake in the kitchen. Their little furry “child” joined in, too. :) Toward the end we braved the cold for just a few minutes to get some snaps outside. I had a lot of fun with this couple and hope their wedding is everything they hope it to be! Thanks for spending the day with me you two!

This is probably photo overload, but I just loved so many from this session!
