Here it is!! My Traveling Dress Project image that I can finally share with you! The gallery was held yesterday in Caldwell and I have to say it was so incredible to see so many different takes on this one single red dress. The concept of this project is for each photographer to take the same red dress and photograph it with our own vision. As a photographer, there is nothing quite like seeing your art printed large and displayed in a gallery.
Little Kambell here was so amazing to work with and fit my vision perfectly. She braved the freezing cold temperatures with a smile and never complained once. Hair & makeup was provided by the wonderfully talented Faith Garcia at Beau Monde Spa in Meridian and her magic was the perfect touch. I couldn’t be happier with my final image and am proud to say I took 4th place!
I am also happy to announce that I will be on the committee for the 2017 Traveling Dress Project and we are already working away behind the scenes to get things in place to begin. The project usually kicks off in July or August for the photographers to begin shooting. Each photographer gets about 10 days with the dress and then passes it to the next, so the dress continues to travel through the following spring. I’m so excited about what is in store for next year!
If you are a photographer and interested in participating in the 2017 Traveling Dress Project, you can fill out an application and you will be contacted shortly after.
I will be posting again with more images from my series soon, so be sure to keep an eye out. You can also check out the other images submitted HERE.
